Universitas Prefektur Shizuoka baru-baru ini mengadakan kuliah daring penerimaan calon perawat warga negara asing dari Vietnam, Filipina, dan Indonesia berdasarkan Perjanjian Kemitraan Ekonomi (EPA). Profesor Michiyo Yoneno (Jurusan Antropologi Budaya) dari universitas yang sama menjelaskan situasi dan masalah saat ini.<\/p>\n

Profesor Yuko Hirano dari Universitas Nagasaki (Jurusan Kesehatan dan Sosiologi Medis) mengatakan bahwa meskipun para kandidat umumnya puas dengan pelatihan di Jepang, masih ada permasalahan yaitu “meski mereka lulus ujian nasional di Jepang dan mendapatkan pengalaman, jika mereka tidak memiliki kualifikasi yang diperlukan di negara asal mereka, ada kalanya mereka tidak dapat bekerja sebagai perawat di negara tersebut\u201d.
